With limited funding, schools often take matters into their own hands. Unfortunately, these efforts by students and teachers to allow for an adequate environment were often undocumented.
This section is dedicated to highlight stories on the ground.
A "home-like" remedial classroom to attract students to come to school.
Decluttering the school sports equipment room to encourage co-curricular participation.
Turning an old toilet building into a mini-entrepreneurship centre.
A shared learning hub for the indigenous community.
A multi-sensory room to provide a calm and safe space for students with special needs.
Engaging with a local paint company to provide paint supplies for the school.
Many other teachers across Malaysia were driven to take similar measures proactively to improve their learning spaces and meet the changing needs of the global trend in education despite - or due to - limited resources.
Their efforts span from creative classroom decorations to innovative Do-It-Yourself (DIY) or makeshift solutions, each showcasing their remarkable dedication to crafting engaging and inspiring learning environments for their students.
